Come enjoy a comedy about a park bench, bread crumbs, wide brimmed hats, swans, sneezing and love. How long does it take you to fall in and out and back in love? 2 comedies explore the parallel loves of 4 people.A Rainy Afternoon explores the trials and tribulations of two young people that first meet at a park bench and develop a crush.A Sunny Morning is about a chance meeting of two elderly people at the same bench in which they discover that they had a torrid affair with each other fifty years earlier. Both plays though written a century apart intertwine to tell the greater story of love and its consequences.
We will have 2 special shows in celebration of Valentine's Day. On Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14 at 8 Pm we will do our traditional Chocolate & Roses show. "Just in time for Valentine’s Day, 24 hrs. of Love is a charming love story. Make that two charming love stories....Juanito and Petra. Gonzalo and Laura. Their love stories on their own are charming and work seamlessly together, blending young love with old, a new story with a classic." Cathy O'Neal TheaterJones.com
"[A] valid and vastly different option for celebrating St.Valentine’s Day February 14, providing sustenance for the soul, fodder for post-play discussion and perspectives on that singularly elusive emotion and state of being. Out at the Stone Cottage in Addison, MBS Productions offers an ephemeral trifle, 24 hrs. of Love, that reveals hidden depths along unexplored pathways to the heart....His four-person cast is exquisitely costumed and well suited to their characters.... There’s plenty of underlying sizzle in this script; by now Cupid’s darts should buzz the air space above their heads."
